About Aceon
Aceon is a medicine containing Perindopril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)
inhibitor which is used along with other medications for the treatment of a high
blood pressure. Perindopril works by reducing the chemicals that tighten the blood
vessels thus allowing blood to flow more easily and the heart to pump blood more
effectively. It may also have other uses as instructed by your doctor.
Usage
Aceon comes as a tablet that is taken orally. It should be taken according to your doctor's directions, usually twice a day. Do not take a dose higher or lower than your prescribed amount. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor. If you forget to take a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose take it and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take more than your usual dosage to make up for a missed one. Do not take it if it's expiration date has passed.
Side effects
Aceon may cause the following side effects: headaches, coughing, weariness,
dizziness, abdominal pains and nausia. Notify your doctor
if these symptoms should persist. Other rarer side effects may include swelling,
an irregular heartbeat, fevers, a sore throat and fainting.
If any of these symptoms should appear contact your doctor immediately!
Storage
Aceon should be kept tightly closed in the container it came in. It should be
kept at room's temperature. Avoid storing it near heat or light.
