About Aggrenox
Aggrenox is a medicine containing both Aspirin and extended-release Dipyridamole. Together these two medications make an antiplatelet agent used to lower the chances of getting a stroke. They work by preventing too much blood from getting clotted. They may also have other uses as instructed by your doctor.
Usage
Aggrenox comes as a capsule that is taken orally. It should be taken according to your doctor's directions, usually twice a day. Do not take a dose higher or lower than your prescribed amount. Do not stop taking Aggrenox without consulting your doctor. If you forget to take a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose take it and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take more than your usual dosage to make up for a missed one. Do not take it if it's expiration date has passed.
Side effects
Aggrenox may cause the following side effects: headaches, abdominal pain, muscle or joint pains, weariness, diarrhea, indigestion, nausia and vomiting. Notify your doctor if these symptoms should persist. Other rarer side effects may include sweating, swelling, rashes, dizziness, ringing in the ears, breathing difficulty, abnormal bleeding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain and weakness. If any of these symptoms should appear contact your doctor immediately!
Storage
Aggrenox should be kept tightly closed in the container it came in. It should
be kept at room's temperature. Avoid storing it near heat or light.
