About AcipHex
AcipHex is a medicine containing Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which is used to treat certain conditions of the stomach, such as ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), in which it produces more acid than necessary. It may also have other uses as instructed by your doctor.
Usage
AcipHex comes as a tablet that is taken orally. It should be taken according to your doctor's directions, usually once a day, after breakfast, for 4 weeks or longer. Do not take a dose higher or lower than your prescribed amount. If you forget to take a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose take it and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take more than your usual dosage to make up for a missed one. Do not take it if it's expiration date has passed.
Side effects
AcipHex may cause the following side effects: headaches, abdominal pains, nausia, vomiting, constipation, a dry mouth, muscle or bone pains, insomnia and weariness. Notify your doctor if these symptoms should persist.
Storage
AcipHex should be kept tightly closed in the container it came in. It should be
kept at room's temperature. Avoid storing it near heat or light.
